A+U:
DRAG WORKSHOP
The workshop is divided into two parts:
- DRAG PERSONA / CHARACTER
The workshop focuses on creating drag personas, exploring different variations and characters, and how to use them both on stage and on social media. The workshop will be led by Martin "Venice" Talaga, founder of the PINKBUS Platform.
2. MAKE-UP & LIP SYNC
The workshop focuses on creating drag personas, exploring different variations and characters, and how to use them both on stage and on social media. The workshop will be led by Martin "Venice" Talaga, founder of the PINKBUS Platform.
Participants will go through the complete drag make-up process – from covering their eyebrows to contouring to the final "stage-ready" look. This will be followed by a lip sync class. This part will be led by Scott "TONIC" Tait, founder of House of Garbage, which produces the now legendary drag show Queeriety.
The workshop will conclude with a public performance at Café ARCHA+, where participants will have the opportunity to try out the stage and put their newly acquired skills into practice. However, this part is not mandatory, and it’s perfectly fine if you choose not to participate. It will be attended only by other beginner drag queens and people whom the participants themselves wish to invite in advance. The presentation will not be promoted in any other way.
