Slovak evening and no other: the IHOPEIWILL

What vision do we have for the future, not only for us, but for the generations after us? What kind of world do we wish for them, and what can we do or want to do to fulfill those wishes?

HOPEIWILL touches on our common future against the backdrop of current political tensions and the deepening climate crisis. It conveys a sense of anticipation and hope in the face of prevailing global feelings of fear and great uncertainty.

IHOPEIWILL is a work that combines physical performance, sound design and visual installation. Each of these mediums work independently alongside each other and in synergy, together creating an organic whole.

The work was inspired by conversations with people, in which we were interested in the optics of personal family backgrounds and relationships across generations. What do we envision for the future, not only for us, but for the generations after us? What kind of world do we wish for them, and what can or want to do to fulfill those wishes?

IHOPEIWILL thus becomes an artistic reflection on the current trajectory of society and our responsibility to future generations.

The latest work of the authorial trio Soňa Ferienčíková - Mária Júdová Tichá - Alexandra Timpau (under the banner of the joint group threeiscompany), created in collaboration with choreographer Jaro Viňarský.
